VOLUNTEER MISSION TRIPS
Sharing Experiences at the Schools
Six team members of Société Générale spent a week in Nicaragua volunteering at San Jose de la Luz School in Quilali, Nueva Segovia. They had a great time with the children and teachers, and participated in the inauguration of the new teacher’s house. The new house greatly improves the teacher's conditions by allowing them a proper living space during the weekdays, as they come from communities far away from the school.
Our friends from Mercon Coffee Group visited Los Milagros school in El Tuma - La Dalia (Matagalpa) early this month. It was a day full of fun, smiles, and games where we the volunteers interacted with the children and gave them presents. The volunteers also learned more about the Digital Seeds Program.
Four members of Brown Brothers Harriman spent a week volunteering at Las Colinas School in Yalí, Jinotega. During their trip, they played with the students, doing handcrafts and outdoor activities as well as some gardening. It was a memorable experience for everyone involved!

SEEDS' STORY
Deglys, Supervisor of Civil Work

"We build education with construction tools"
Access to quality education does not depend only on teachers and teaching supplies, but also on the infrastructure conditions of a school. For children and teachers, having a dignified and clean school allows them to grow and learn in a better way.

From the Seeds for Progress Foundation, through our Digital Seeds program, we develop infrastructure projects such as rehabilitation and construction of classrooms, housing for teachers, sanitary services, water and sanitation works, libraries, among others, responding to the specific needs of each of the 15 schools that we currently assist.
